Exciter
The basic maintenance parts of the excitation system are the interior of the excitation station, whether the interior of the excitation station is clean, whether the electrode pole distance is stable, and the height of the arc arc flame of the excitation station relative to the optical system will affect our data results.
1. Unplug the exhaust pipe and use a vacuum cleaner to clean up the dust in the excitation cavity
2. Wipe the sheath with absorbent cotton and pure alcohol
3. After the cleaning is completed, re-measure the analysis interval with a polar gauge.
4. Rinse the entire circuit with argon for 2 ~ 3 minutes to flush out the air entering the spark table.

Lens
The condenser lens is the only way for the light emitted by the sample to enter the spectrometer. The mirror must be kept clean. However, long-term use of the condenser will be contaminated, and a layer of dark brown substance is attached to its outer surface. The longer the time, the thicker the deposit. The metal powder generated by the excitation will also adhere to the outer surface of the lens, reducing the light transmittance and reducing the absolute light intensity of all elements, especially the far ultraviolet elements C, P, S are more obvious.

The surface of the condenser lens is made of absorbent cotton, dipped in a mixture of ether and ethanol, and wiped from the center of the condenser outwards in a circle. If the pollution is serious, you can wipe it several times with more force until the dirt is wiped off and then wipe the watermark with a dry cotton ball.

In particular, it should be noted that the condenser lens is made of quartz. Do not use hard objects (never use cotton tweezers to clamp cotton) to avoid scratching the lens surface.

Waste bucket
Argon is an inert gas and has no direct harm to the human body. However, part of the dust generated by the spark stage after the sample is excited will be blown away by argon, and the exhaust pipe will become black. It takes a long time to clean up to ensure the smoothness and cleanliness of the gas path. The main component of the exhaust gas generated after the excitation is that argon contains the excited metal dust. After long-term direct inhalation, it will cause silicosis and eye damage, which will cause great harm to the human body. The exhaust pipe of the direct-reading spectrometer can be a transparent plastic tube, which can be inserted into the water during installation; if the pipe wall becomes black and opaque, the exhaust pipe needs to be replaced.
